Suggestions for Peer Pressure Picture Books
I am looking for picture books dealing with peer pressure, less about bullying, but more about handling peer pressure demands. The collective brain sent these responses. Enjoy!

Stephanie's Ponytail, by Robert Munsch
A Bad Case of Stripes, by David Shannon
Suggested by Jennifer Lutzky

Stand Tall, Molly lou Melon, Patty Lovell
Suggested by Debra Crawford
"It Doesn't Have to be This Way" by Luis Rodriguez.
It's a good one about the peer pressure for a young boy to join a gang.
Suggested by Elaine Sabetti

Crow Boy- Yoshimia
Suggested by Nancy Tobin

Karen G. Burnett’s Simon’s hook: a story about teases and putdowns.
Suggested by John McVey

Timothy Goes to School by Rosemary Wells
Chrysanthemum by Kevin Henkes
The Name Jar by Yangsook Choi
Hooway For Wodney Wat by Helen Lester
Cleversticks by Bernard Ashley
My Name Is Yoon by Helen Recorvits
Suggested by Penny Brown

How about Sissy Duckling by Harvey Fierstein? Has to do with self-acceptance and being different, which is often what peer pressure tries to change. I've used it at middle school, and I've seen it used at high school (as to gender acceptance).
Suggested by Lori Broger

There were three nonfiction and one chapter book available from Titlewave. If anyone is interested in writing a picture book, clearly there is a need for peer pressure materials!
